Gourmet Boerie –
Every South African likes a good boerie, if you don’t eat meat, well then, I’m sorry. I went through that phase too. With items like scrambled eggs and bacon boeries and boeries topped with goat cheese and caramelized onions, I’m overjoyed to have returned to a carnivorous lifestyle , my heart might not be so enthused. But this local Capetonian soon to be staple uses healthy toppings on soft fresh buns with choices like ostrich to keep yourself feeling heart healthy. The majority of us, though, are just super happy to get to eat delicious and decadent gamey ostrich wrapped up in a boerewors .
“We are a proudly South African business that sells an iconic South African brand in a really fun, sexy and creative space,” explains Craig Bright, co-founder of the city centre restaurant and festival director of renowned outdoor music fair Rocking the Daisies.
So, head on over and get your fancy rolls filled with fresh and local ingredients. Dare I say I saw fresh sprouts on that roll? Yes and confirmed.
